You don't have to have a Samsung Galaxy phone to enjoy the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2, but the would definitely sound better thanks to the Samsung Seamless codec, making them one of—if not the best—earbuds for Samsung Galaxy phone users. And right now, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 for $108.99 (originally $229.99) after a 53% discount.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 came out in the summer of 2022 with good reviews, like PCMag's "excellent" review, noting great bass depth and clarity, good active noise cancellation (ANC), a wireless charging case, and an IPX7 waterproof rating. Samsung did drop the ball in not giving the Buds Pro 2 a customizable EQ on their app, and the five-hour battery life is underwhelming.

However, where these earbuds really shine is in their audio quality. Dual drivers on each earbud mean a better range of sound frequencies, leading to some noticeable depth in their sound. As I mentioned, those with recent Galaxy phones running at least Android 8.0, One UI 4.0, and 1.5GB RAM will be able to listen to 24-bit audio, giving you more dynamic range and less digital noise than 16-bit audio. If you have other Galaxy products, like smartwatches or TVs, you'll get an auto-switch feature as long as those products get a firmware update from at least July 2022.

The ANC isn't anything special, but it's nice to have. They also have a gimmicky feature that makes the sound come from the direction your phone is located, which is great when you can't find your phone. It also has a feature that helps you locate lost earbuds using the SmartThings app. If you are prone to losing your earbuds regularly, the feature will map you to them and can even send you a notification if it thinks you're leaving them behind somewhere.
