Like at the start of any new year, 2024 brings a renewed motivation for many to make exercising at home a regular routine. And for them, January offers plenty of deals on home gym equipment like Pelotons, Bowflex dumbbells, and walking pads. Here are some best deals on home exercise equipment that can help you smash your 2024 fitness goals.

Peloton Bikes

Pelotons are a luxury, but a $400 discount on their best bike helps make it more affordable. Amazon currently has the Peloton Bike+ for $2,095 (originally $2,495), which is one of the lowest prices I've ever seen for the Bike+ (it did hit $1,995 during Black Friday). Peloton doesn't often make big discounts like this, so if you're on the fence about getting one, this is a good time.

Peloton also has a deal on their Original Peloton Bike, which is $300 off, currently $1,145 (originally $1,445). This one hit $1,095 during Black Friday. Here is how Lifehaker Senior Health Editor Beth Skwarecki described these Pelotons:

The Bike is a solidly built spin bike with a big touchscreen on which you can play classes led by the platform’s instructors/motivational speakers or experience the “other” rides: scenic routes, a video game that you play by adjusting your resistance knob, and the still-in-beta Entertainment feature that may allow you to watch Netflix while you exercise.

The Bike+ has everything the Bike has, plus resistance that automatically adjusts when you’re following along with a class. The touchscreen is also on a swivel, allowing you to do yoga and strength classes on the floor next to your Bike+.

If those prices are still too much for your budget, consider the refurbished ones from Peloton, which are also seeing some great discounts. The Original Peloton Bike is $995, and the Peloton Bike+ is $1,595. Just make sure you understand what getting a used Peloton could entail. Keep in mind you’ll need a $44 per month “All Access” membership to use all of the Bike’s features. Amazon does offer a free “inside entryway” delivered to you when you order a Peloton Bike or Bike+.

Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells

If you're building a home gym for 2024, the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells are an ideal addition. They are compact and give you the freedom to adjust your dumbbells from 5 pounds up to 52.5, with some half-pound increments. I've had my pair of 552s for about three years and used them throughout the pandemic. To this day, it is one of the best purchases I have made. These dumbbells also rarely hit below the $400 mark, but you can get a set for $379 (originally $549) right now.

A folding walking pad

Many people who work from 9 to 5 complain about their sedentary lifestyle and its effects on their physical and mental well-being. If you work from home, a walking pad is great for anyone with a standing desk who could use some activity to log extra steps during working hours. The COZYINN walking pad can hold 300 pounds and is light enough (less than 50 pounds) to be set up by one person and runs up to 3.6 miles per hour. You can get it for $179.99 (originally $349.99) after clicking the $20 on-page coupon, which is one of the lowest prices I’ve ever seen.
