Google Secure Access - encrypt your wifi connection

Google Secure Access is a beta application which secures your computer's wireless internet connection.

Even though the FAQ says its "a new product that is only available at certain locations in the San Francisco Bay Area," I downloaded and enabled Google Secure Access here in New York. Another interesting FAQ tidbit:

If you choose to use Google Secure Access, your internet traffic will be encrypted and sent through Google's servers to the Internet. The data that is received will then be encrypted and sent back through our servers to your computer.

Hmm. Lastly, the Google Secure Access about dialog reads "Tunc tua res agitur, paries c m proximus ardet," which I believe is Latin for "It is your concern, when your neighbour's wall is on fire." Indeed. But the question remains: is it your concern when all your data goes through Google's servers?

Google Secure Access is a free download, Windows only. Thanks, Jan!
