Yahoo!'s Desktop search product has graduated from beta with a few neat new features, including Live Search on selected words and a new battery saver which stops the CPU-intensive indexing when your laptop isn't plugged in.
Y! Desktop Search indexes all the file types you'd need fast, sports a convenient tabbed interface and also searches your online Yahoo! content, like Y! Messenger conversations and your Yahoo! Address book. But, like I said back in July, I'd like to see Y! Desktop Search also index the Thunderbird address book and my Flickr photos. Pretty please, Yahoo? Y!
